I came into a little "fun money" so I went ahead and placed the order for my 6X45 barrel today. I went with a 20" LTR profile in all satin. I was going to try to come up with something for Kiz to lazer onto it, but I couldn't really decide on anything, so I figured I would leave it blank. However, and I am just throwing it out there, if she feels compelled to put a little art onto it before shipping, I will not complain one bit. I promise. Now the question is do I put the barrel on in place of the 5.56 barrel I currently have on an upper that I got from JSE Surplus, or do I buy a stripped upper and do a new build for this one? I figure I have a couple months to stew it over and play with the 5.56 upper some more. It is looking very promising with 52 grain match bullets and 8208XBR powder, so I am not sure I want to give it up. At the same time, I am not a huge fan of the .223, which is why I wanted the 6X45 in the first place. Oh well, it is nice to have these kinds of problems.

New upper and we will share all we have on the 6X45. Nothing like those first tiny groups to make you smile.

Yeah, I am thinking Aero Precision from Ammo Surplus and a Hogue overmolded handguard. JP low-pro gas block.
Now, what about optics?

Good call. I have one on my Ruger Charger that I use for Small Bore Silhouette shooting and I love it. I will probably have to get another one for this.
