Does anyone know if the 6x6.8 will be ready for sale and shipped by October. Looking to get an upper for deer hunting with a little time to play before hunting season begins. Thanks

Would a 22" barrel be sufficient? I can go 24" just wondering what length for the most efficient powder burn. I'm leaning heavy barrel profile as most of my hunting will be stationary. Also I do like the side charging upper any opinions on it. What does BHW use on builds?

The 24 just lets you squeeze it a tad more and with the poly rifling it does pick up about 50-10 FPS over a similar length regular barrel. The standard weight profile is what I have posted as have all the groups posted up to date. I may well get a full bull barrel down the road for matches but the standard one is pretty darn heavy as it stands. I have three or four bull barrels that are weighing in at 11.4 or so and the standard one in my pic weighs 10.2. BHW uses standard uppers in their builds but the side charge upper in the pics in The Testing Has Started thread was done by Ritch Johnson of RPG who has a banner ad with his number here. Ritch has been doing ALL my BHW builds and they are superb. I'd get with him about a truly custom upper. Greg

Also I do like the side charging upper any opinions on it. What does BHW use on builds? I am personally sold on the 22 inch barrel. I am giving up about 50 FPS over the 24 inch barrels. I don't think you would be able to find a coyote or a deer that could tell you which length of barrel was better than the other. The profile we are all shooting is the standard profile. They are heavy enough that additional weight of the bull barrel is not a necessity unless you have your hart set on the bull. One other thing to keep in mind. Black Hole barrel keep shooting even when they are hot. Side charging uppers are the bomb. I love this thing. I can tell you it won't be my last. The upper in the pictures has a Mega upper with a Young BCG. Young free float tube and Kies gas block.
