Barrel counter on the website??? Would be cool to see a running number total of barrels made and shipped by BHW. Any idea how many barrels have been made since BHW started? Or maybe even how many barrels made last month. Just curious. being a small business owner myself, I am glad to see that BHW is growing! Keep up the good work!

It's really come a long way from two friends doing something they likedto what it's become today. Even in just the last year it's been an incredible roller coaster ride. Then again doing anything from the ground up is just a crazy process in itself as I've seen since I started back in March of 2011. In the very beginning only a handful of barrels could be completed a month as everything was turned out manually by hand in a lathe. As time has progressed we've been able to invest in better machinery and try new methods out, hire more staff and really push the numbers up--with still the majority of our work being hand done. What I know for sure is that the average number of product we used to ship in a month we now do in a week and our monthly output is in the quadruple digits. It's kind of surreal considering last year we only had 5 people on the floor and now have 25 and two shifts. It hasn't been easy by any means. And we are always making strides to increase our numbers and maintain the same handmade quality that we started with. I don't think it'd have been possible without the wonderful amount of support from Carl's small, dedicated family, as well as our customers. It's great to see people taking the leap and becoming business owners. It's not necessarily the easiest thing to do, especially in this economy. But I think the greatest thing that people like yourself have, is that ability to communicate to your customers in a way that many larger businesses do not or have neglected presently. Thank you for your kind words and I wish you luck in all your endeavors as well.

"increase our numbers and maintain the same handmade quality"
This is one of the reasons I chose this company, the personal touch. I eagerly look forward to your barrel arriving at my door, with the graphics we have worked out, and the handmade quality! I will soon be added to the number of customers you have!

I can say that the BHW products that have come through my hands have done very well. Finish and function have been top shelf IMHO and with Kiz there to make 'em pretty I feel like a cat setting on a window bench in the middle of winter in Minnesota. All warm AND fuzzy!! ;D
