My dad built an upper with a barrel marked "6.8 m ss 1x10 BRO" it is a stainless 18" Bull rifle length gas block, free floated and properly installed.
After doing some research I think it is a BHW barrel made for Black Rain Ordnance? Does anyone know if this is a spec II chamber?
A few hand-loaded cartridges were used and the most accurate round (1MOA) has a slightly longer OAL than what will fit in the magazine. (2.448")
Said load for 6.8 spc is 135 gr Sierra HPBT Match H-322 - 26.~ - 27.0 gr re-sized brass with correct case dimensions with OAL of cartridge at 2.438"
Maybe I have not found the right magazine length load, but I am wondering if the chamber size is the culprit affecting the accuracy. The barrel was properly broken in.
I have PM'd the right people on the subject, but I want you all's input. I have also exhausted all other research methods, so only helpful comments will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

They are SPEC II if it was produced recently. Look in to barrel. Does it look all swirly with no definite lands? If it is swirly looking it is BHW. Was there any markibgs at all on the barrrel? Is it a 3 or 5 twist? The load might be on the hot side as Hodgdon lists 28.2 as MAX for a 115. With your OAL you are shooting single shot but that OAL seems a bit on the extreme side. How did you determine the length? That is a pretty heavy bullet for a 1:10. Have you tried a lighter pill in the sub 120 range for a baseline or any factory ammo. What is your goal with the big boys? Hogs? Remember that the barrel picks the bullet. Some will shoot like a laser with a given bullet and toss another similar one all over like a 2 year old having a tantrum in his toy box. Who were you PM's to? The Pro Staff here? Whne it comes to hands on realoding issues this is the place. BHW itself makes great barrels but trust me the handloading brain trust lurks here and they don't work for BHW. The guys here will help. Greg
