Pre-ordered this lower back in Feb of 2013, picked up the lower in I think July, and have been collecting parts ever since… slowly but surely. When BHW threw up the 20% sale for SHOT, I pulled the trigger on a 20" bull barrel, which according to FedEx shipped out today. I started loading up some 55gr dogtown bullets over W748 for break-in and to use as my plinking load, and 87gr vmaxes over H322 are my planned heavy load. Many thanks to the guys here both for the resources posted and for forwarding me the load data that disappeared off buckammo.com Looking forward to finally putting a bow on this rifle when the barrel comes in.

This is my second AR, I sold my last one off in pieces about 2 years ago, just a standard .223, but also a 20" bull. This one is quality components where that was basically a pretty budget build, so I'm pretty pumped.

So not sure if someone who can answer will be on here, but:
Is the case length 1.75-1.76 from 5.56 apply to these barrels, or is the length different?
Also any one know what the free headspace is on them or what ideal COALs are? I'm working on setting up loads and realizing how little I know. Looks like 2.29 is about max for magazine feeding though.

Looks like 2.29 is about max for magazine feeding though. I would ask your questions over on the ARMORY but that will be later. Trim length is 1.750 with a MAX of 1.760. BHW chamberings are industry standard for regular cartridges. No surprises. I have no idea what you are referring to as free head space. Most 223/556 magazine lenght allowed is 2.260. At mag lenght you will not hit the lands. To reach them you will have to single load them. I load to as close to MAX as I can and keep enough bullet in the case. Every barrel is different. They are similar but different. Do you have a reloading manual? Have you read it? Greg

I have read a couple, but nothing 6x45 specific so I just wanted to confirm the "same as 5.56" specs I'd read online.
In other news, a barrel arrived today.. unfortunately its a 204 barrel destined for John in Talmage KS, not mine. Emailed into customer service about the mixup.
Sucks too.. I want a 204 upper!

Hodgdon and Accuarate Arms powder have good data and specs etc. I just sent a note to sales for you also. What is your real world name? Greg
