Is there a source for 6x45 load data using Reloader 15. Buckammo PDF 1.2, 5.? and 8.1 does not list it and I have seen a couple references by glshooter that RL15 is good with heavier bullets. I really had to dig deep to find targets with load data on them. My barrel is 1:8 @ 22" I will load Hornady 87gr bthp and Speer 100gr SP. I will be using CCI400. Load data I have. 87gr BTHP H4895 23.5 (buckammo) TAC 24.3 (buckammo) RL 26.0 and 27.0(as seen on a Glshooter's targets)( ) 100gr SP H4895 22.0 TAC 23.0 RL15 ( )

I've never shot a 100 in mine. The heaviest I have gone was 87 at right on 3000 or so. I didn't see any reason to go higher than that though I would go to a 90 SP for deer. I felt the velocity loss of a bigger bullet was made up by using the lighter pills as you are going to use up a bunch of case capacity in many cases.
That being said I'd just back down about 2 grains on the powder and work up. Once again the chronograph is your friend.

100 gr Speer BTSP Cartridge: FC Primer: Rem 7 1/2 COL:2.260 Barrel:22" 1:8 RL-15 25.0 gr Velocity: 2593fps, 2629fps, 2608fps
Primer and case looked good no flattening, did not produce a smaller group.
87 gr Hornady HPBT Cartridge: FC Primer: cci 400 COL:2.260 Barrel:22" 1:8 RL-15 26.6 Velocity: 2819fps, 2798fps, 2815fps
Primers flattened as expected. Will use Rem 7 1/2 next time.
87 gr Hornady HPBT Cartridge: FC Primer:cci br4 COL:2.260 Barrel:22" 1:8 RL-15 27.0 Velocity:2806fps, 2808fps, 2783fps
Case and primer Looked good, no flattening. Will compare this loads primers with Rem 7 1/2 next time

Buy some stainless steel magazines from ASC and you can load to 2.300. Make sure you get the stainless as the aluminum are standard size.

So I did some measuring last night.
Using a standard magazine length of 2.260
I need to seat the bullet further out to touch the lands.
87 gr Hornady BTHP .065 100 Speer BTSP .130 95 Berger VLD .237 105 Berger VLD .214
Now if I seat those to 2.300 using a extra length magazine as recommended That would put me around .025 of the lands for the 87 gr bullets which would probably shrink my group considerably. But I suspect it will not help me with the 100gr speer.
Any bullet recommendations for 2.260 length magazines?

VLD's hate to jump. If you must shoot bigger the Speer would be the biggest I went to though a 90-95 is more realistic for hunting bulets as a MAX in my estimate.. You give up a ton of velocity with the 105's IMHO. I shot a bunch of Hornady 87's at 2.260 and many at 2.365 as an experiment. Velocity diference was about 15 FPS ad group size was 0.1 differnce in favor of the long rounds. At that point I didn't worry anymore and shot the 87's at magazine lenght usually and for my 500 yard single shot matches laoded them long. Greg
