I know I've seen loading data "somewhere" for this bullet, but as is becoming more common every day, I don't recall where "somewhere" is located! Anything that will "get out of it's own way" and make a coyote deadly sick will be fine.
Has anyone tried cast bullets in the 264 LBC? It "should" handle 140gr, long body, bullets nicely in the 1600 fps range. I just received the gas checks; IIRC it's Lyman 266469.

I'd grab any 87 grain data and run with it. Lead bullets are not in my experience package in rifles. I know there's some interest in it and possibly someone will chime in.

Group shot while fire forming 7.62 PPU cases and "concept" testing of the 85gr Sierra 85gr HP bullet, 4X Weaver scope. Powder was Benchmark, but given the number of bottom feeders that would gladly make it "my fault" should some idiot hurt themselves, I'll just let it go at that. Only 9 rounds because one round didn't have the shoulder pushed back sufficiently to chamber.

Not bad at all. What COL did you use?

I used 2.10". The tapered 7.62 case gave me two FTF due to "nose dive" (rounds 1 and 3) in a new ACS 10 rd mag (which likely set the bullet back a bit), but it seemed to be "right" otherwise.

I have a couple of 10 round 7.62 magazines, plastic, that I bought for my first 6 PPC. They run well. That length is about right IMHO BTW. Greg

Thanks for the report. I used some 85gr Sierra HP in sized 7.62 brass too, and they all fed well. I think the magazines I used are "C Products" 15 round. No target yet, just getting them to run well. Bolt cycled and locked open on last round.

There's a fair number of loads available from commercial sources (e.g. Western Powders) for the 85g Sierra for the 6.5 Grendel. Those powders are summarized here: grendeldata.com/pages/load-matrix

I've had good luck with AA2520 under the 85g Sierra, but its hard to find these days. Yup - that was the 5th shot jumping out to the right
