Back at the end of May in the reloading section I posted pictures of a rifle failure that had a BHW .264 LBC barrel. The failure was because the owner had used Lil' Gun powder in his hand loads. Here's a refresher of the pictures. So why did I bring this up. Well, I'm at the range this morning and the head range officer is heading to the 200 yard target with a rifle bag. The head range officer just happens to also work for a local firearm firm. So I go down the line expecting to see the latest firearm their producing. To my surprise I find out it's a Franken-AR (built with parts laying around). But the barrel is the one that survived the blow up. Now the barrel was inspected and the barrel extension was replaced. So it was nice to see him resurrect the barrel. And it shoots sub MOA at that. He was using Hornady 6.5 Grendel 123 gr. A-MAX. They had a chrono set up and out of the BHW 24" .264 LBC barrel the Avg. velocity was 2650 fps.. That's about 70 fps more than what Hornady claims it should do out of a 24" barrel. Just wanted update you on the barrel. Glenn
