I am looking to purchase one of your railed uppers but I have a question. Due to vision loss, I need to shoot left handed. Does your right-handed upper have the deflector "bump" for left handed operation? I know you will have left-handed uppers soon but I don't want to limit the resale value. Thanks for your time...

No brass deflector, But BHW has a new Left hand railed upper that should fit your needs.

I too have a question regarding the railed uppers. I coundn't find a technical information section where to post my question. The question is: wouldn't it more prone to malfuntions due to carbon build-up between the rail and the Bolt Carrier Group? Are you (BHW) recomending these type of upper be used only with piston driven systems? It seems like a pretty sweet operation where the BCG is kept in line and slides only front and back rather than floating around. I am just concern about reliability issues. I have heard nothing but good comments reagarding all BHW products, so it might just be me and the fact that I don't understand the physics involved in the cycle of operation once you include the two steel rods into the equation.

Same reliable operation on mine using a gas impingement system.
