I was looking to build a 6mm Ar . It's Damm near impossible to order dies from the 6mm website . Can I use a 6.5 Grendel bushing due to size the 6mm ar or .243lbc ? Also I'm building this gun for ar benchrest . Can I use a 6 pcc hand seating die to seat this ?

We use Redding Type S FL dies with bushings to make the 243LBC csses. I don't know about a 6PPC hand seater. I would think it might work setting on the shoulder. We use Hornady seaters almost exclusively to seat our bullets.

If u took a Redding 6.5 Grendel micrometer seating die and changed the stem 6mm would that work ? Probably but why not use a Hornady set up? If you own the die now a quick call to Redding will tell the tale on that. Greg

Give CH4D Tool & Die a call. They have been doing most of my wildcat dies. Great prices considering what Hornady, Redding and RCBS charge for custom wildcat dies.

CH4D has been really supportive of BHW designs. When Ritch designed the 6X6.8 we sent off the print. The 243LBC was also designed by Ritch and once they got the print from us they were Johnny on the spot. I've spent a lot of time on the phone with Dave the owner. It is fascinating to talk with a fellow that really does understand the craft.
I hope that the OP shows up. He has not signed on in almost two months.

Dave is great to talk to. For those of us who have been around wildcats for some time it's almost amusing how these wildcats rotate through over time. Dave is in the "Know" and definitely up to speed on the wildcat trends over time. Like with the .243 LBC, there's more load data to be found out there by searching 6mm AR or 6mm Grendel for that matter, than there is searching .243 LBC and it doesn't matter which is stamped on the die set.

Actually the shoulder location on a 243 LBC and on the 6MMAR are different. Ritch can explain it to you as I know my description will be backwards. The two cartridges were developed at the same time in parallel without the other knowing about it. The 6 Grendel reamer prints I have also are different from the 243. Performance wise not a bit of difference and the data is good across the board on all three. Greg
