Being old and out of shape I get to shoot in the Arizona Senior Olympics every year now. This year was my third shooting F-Class at 500 yards and it was quite the day.Weather started out around 55 and by the time we finished up it was right on about 90. Wind was light and variable but the mirage as the day progressed went right along with the temperatures. I was using a Black Hole 243 LBC barrel on a Savage action. 1:9 twist shooting 95 SMK's at 2950. A very accurate bullet with a very good BC. A pretty good turnout for this match and the competition was not shabby. I managed a Bronze this year, the Gold winner won the whole match, which considering my lack of practice time this Winter was not bad. The chatting with the other shooters was quite educational and I got several fellows urging me to come out to some matches /practice so we could help each other out on technique etc. I do know I'm looking for a new scope. Hopefully Santa will show up EARLY this year!! LOL I am looking forward to the future. The 243 LBC juts flat performs. If the driver is good it is a world beater IMHO. Greg
