I noticed BHW offers 25x45mm chambering for AR15's. I was wondering how many of the shooters in this forum have that particular caliber? I'm just trying to figure out how popular the 25x45mm is. It does sound like a very interesting caliber.

OK, it seems silence answered my own question and the 25x45mm is not as popular as I might have thought. Thank you all anyways.

It does sound like a very interesting caliber. I have no idea on what the sales numbers are but the 25X45 is about the same as John Wooters 25 Copperhead build on the 222 but, of course a tad longer. The cartridge looks interesting but if it provides any extra stuff over the more common 6X45 that I shoot I would doubt it very much. I know the dies for the 6X45 are quite common but I suspect the 25X45 would be a bit more difficult to find. Of course making the cases could be done by merely running a 25 caliber expander mandrel into a sized 223 case and then loading them with a 25 caliber seater like Hornady makes where one size fits all of the same caliber family. I know that with my experience with the 25 WSSM loading that the number of bullet choices in 25 is limited quite a bit and the low end ones are not as prevalent as the 6 MM. Would I build one? Sure because I walk to the eclectic more than some. Would I think I had a new answer to the Hammer of Thor? No but I would sure have fun striking out and doing some pioneer reloading with it. Greg

6mm better bullets and huge assortment. But I can see how someone might be interested for hobby. I would do it just to research. I would not expect anything huge here though. It would be interested to run this through QL. The 6.8 would make more sense here maybe. Nothing is worse than the 6.8 bullet department in terms of S.D. Cheers.
