Welcome,
The Mega MTS-4400 is the rifle length monolithic rail system. If you pruchased the MTS-3300 and use a rifle length barrel then you'll have the gas block and a portion of the gas tube exposed (not covered by the rail). The weapon will function properly, but it may suffer stecticly.
If you purchased the MTS-4400 then a rifle length barrel will still expose the gas block, it will cover the gas tube completely under the rail. If you change your mind and want a mid-length barrel then the gas block and the gas tube will both be covered by the rail. Both of these setups will function properly, it all comes down to your personal preference.
In regards to the crown vs threaded. Personally I would chose the crown barrel just because I don't mind the recoil of the AR-10 and because I believe muzzle brakes affect accuracy (that is my opinion). The whole reason to thread a barrel is to attach a muzzle device (whether muzzle brake, flash hidder, or supressor)...Once more it all comes down to personal preferences. If you are concerned about recoil, then thread the muzzle and attach a brake or a supressor (wherever allowed by the laws of your State), if not then just leave it alone with a beautiful and perfect crown.

In order to hide that gas block you will need a low profile block.
