A couple years ago I bought a 6.8mm Stag 16 inch carbine with a 1 in 10 twist. I worked up a lot of loading data after I ordered 1,000 rounds of SSA brass. But I eventually lost interest since it was marginal for hunting up here in Alaska. yes it was OK for small deer and Caribou, but not for the other critters that you might run into while hunting...
So the rifle sat around for the last year.
Then I saw that BHW had 24 inch barrels in their poly rifling... Now that would be interesting.....
Now I am waiting for my new stainless, standard profile, target crown, 6.8mm barrel. It is in the mail as we speak...
I do not want it to be too heavy as it will still be a field rifle. And while I spent years in the weapons field for Uncle Sam and my Alaskan Motherland, I am not up to date on the latest gee whiz AR stuff.
So any thoughts on gas blocks and hand guards? The upper is a railed version and I while be using my 4.5x14 Boone and Crockett Leupold scope.

I'm going with an aluminum JP adjustable block and a DPMS round FF on the 20 LBC I am testing. I run about the same on all my match rifles with non-adjustable GB's.
