This is good news but sort of expected so I am not surprised. I am surprised it didn't happen before. Still the LBC chambering gives a slight benefit. Thanks for sharing.

The only benefit(s) that the LBC may have other the Grendel are:
A)- More/Longer brass life (the case neck does not expand/stretch as much w/ the LBC vs. the Grendel case, .295" vs. .300").
B)-More consistant accuracy,(single vs. compound throat/cone angle) combined w/ a tighter neck diameter...
But alas, the differences are minor and are not likely to show-up in real world accuracy comparisons between the two...
Just my two cents...guys.

Perhaps I am confused but it is my understanding that no one other than Hornady is loading the 6.5 LBC with the proper head stamp. I believe there are several sources for the Grendel brass.
If I am correct than the only current way to get TRUE LBC brass is to buy factory loaded ammo. I hate to say this but it will be a cold day in Hades before I buy factory LBC just for the pretty head stamp. I'll just use my beat up old Hornady Grendel cases loaded in my PPC dies and call it goo. Once it is shot and the necks trimmed back no one can show me one single area where the external dimensions are different.
Advantage of one over the other is about like the difference between a 250 HP 327 in an Impala and a 250 HP 327 in a Bel Air. None!!

dr69er you got it. My friend Dave Miles who is a senior BR shooter among other things shooting wise and has been shooting those two chamberings in the same type of single shot bolt heavy barrels same stock same everything else and he discussed this with me. He uses high precision equipment to measure everything. He is retired so he has the time. That difference in the neck does make a difference. No so much noticeable in the AR but I think LBC knew exactly what they were doing and their systems are known to be on the top accuracy wise. He explained this to me and showed me some loads, cases and targets. I said slight differences not big ones. I can ask him for more actual data if anyone is interested.
