ok I cant get anything above 100gr to stabilize in my BHW barrel yet factory 123 hornady ammo shoots fine, and I have heard others saying they shoot fine out of theirs so what am i doing wrong...what are your recipes for 100gr + bullets out of your BHW .264lbc barrels? I have tried 120gmx's, 120 barnes, 129 INterbonds and none stabilize, meaning all show signs of bullet upset at 100yds. I am using mainly 8208XBR powder but I did try some BL(c)-2 with similar results. help please.

Do you have the 1:9 twist or 1:8 twist barrel w/ your 264 LBC ?
My 6.5mm PCC barrels have a 1:8 twist. Paul has tried Lapua 144gr. loads and stablized fine and were accurate IIRC.
Hmm.

Have you measured the COL of the factory rounds that shoot well in your chamber and duplicate them ?
Most of the time a 1:9 twist is sufficient w/ the longer VLD projectiles...
Also, check the neck diameters and trim length of your cases and compare those to the factory rounds that shoot well for your barrel.
What barrel length are you using...Shorter barrels tend to favor the faster powders and visa versa...

!-9 should be good up to 140 grains. This is just a generalized statement. Really it is the length of the bullet that we are trying to stabilize. Please give us some more information: How much 8208, what kind of speeds are you getting, seating depth etc. Black Hole Weaponry barrels don't develop pressure like a standard Enfield rifled barrel. They typically like to run on the top side of the load data. This is because there is less drag on the bullet as it rides up the bore.

I prep my brass with lee dies, using AA brass, trim to length using the lee trim cutter and gauge, bullet OAL length I usually am running mag length. for load development i have been running loads starting about a grain below minimum then going about .5 grains above max (seeing as everyone says the BHW barrels like em fast, If i see pressure signs I stop obviously. Anyway I think the issue may be i need to try a different powder but I'm not sure. I am shooting a 20" barrel. The only factory rounds I have shot are Hornady 12gr amaxes, I have not tried loading the 123gr amaxes yet....I have only tried the follwoing bullets. 120gr Hornady GMX (probably showed the most upset and largest groups. 120gr Barnes TTSX 129gr Interbond

I would also try some Sierra or Nosler bullets. Stay away from the solid copper bullets until you have a feel for what your barrel likes. They are the most finicky to make shoot. 8208 has been the go to powder, but that does not mean every barrel will shoot it. Try some 4895 or some Varget. I have heard of people having good luck with Win 748.

Go here. Pick a 6.5 grendel and try teh H335 and Benchmark Loads wiht hte 123 grainers. It should be pretty decent with any of those loads listed. Use caution, start low and work you loads up slowly. data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.aspBe careful reloading you must, master yoda says.

I am overseas in China now, but if you haven't got it straight by the time I get home I will be happy to pass along my load info for 100 and 120's I am shooting, they both like 8208 but can't remember all the data other then that.
