Amazing generation of guys. My father in law was involved and didn't talk much about what happened.

Wonderful video. Thanks for posting. Brought a tear to my eye. My father was in the Navy during WWII. He was on an LST on D-Day. He drove a landing craft back and forth landing troops on Omaha beach. God belss America's greatest generation. There aren't many left.

I watched this episode on the television I could not believe this veteran at 86 years old shot a 5 inch group at a 1000 yards! Spectacular with or without the "modern" technology. This was a great video and thank you for sharing it as everyone has already stated. It is truly great what are military does for all of us.

Being new to this forum, I just came across the story about the 86 old sniper...........Great story will pass it on to some of my friends that will appreciate it.
It brings to mind my one and only broth in law who is now 84 and lives out here in MT also. He joined up with the "1st Marine Raider Battalion" at age 19 in 1942, and ended upbeing in the Pacific theater for 26 months. He was "the BAR Man" on a nine man Squad and saw & particapated in more that his share. Was sent home after twenty six months with bad Malaria, Jungle-Rot on his feet and granade schrapnel in his back. He loved his "BAR" and said more than once "he'd turn it on it's side and "spray" a CoConut tree with a few magazines until he heard the Jap Sniper Scream .....then he knew he'd done his job!!
