I have read a lot of info about the 6x45 and how to make the case but I guess my head is thick because I still don't have a good handle on what the trim length is for this cartridge.
Can someone explain this to a slow old man?

Can someone explain this to a slow old man? 1.750. Same as the 223. Greg PS: Don;t trim the 223 before you neck them up. The necks get SHORTER when you expand them up.

Thanks for the info on this and the barrel twist question. Now to get the barrel ordered. I recently built a rifle in 6x45 with a BHW barrel. So far I have only had time to fire the recommended break-in rounds. I wasn't shooting those for accuracy. I just wanted to get the break-in done. I was very pleased with the accuracy even though I wasn't really trying. When I get a good accurate load and get serious I am sure I will be shooting very tiny groups. You will be very happy with your Black Hole Weaponry barrel. Bob

I have a lee gauge that I use with the cutter that I adapted to the RCBS trim mate power station and used a 243WSSM gauge with a tiny 243x0.09 bushing that gives me uniform 1.76" 6x45 cases. You can also mill a 243win gauge or in a pinch use the .223rem gauge. It is very hard to do a bad 6x45 load. It is very forgiving. I think you can piss inside that case and will give you amazing groups.
Is the BHW going to continue offering the 10 twist?
Merry Christmas.
