Your right, thats a whole lot of dead stuff Interesting..... Very interesting. So with this case, you're probably able to get a 55-60 gr bullet to roughly 3400fps?

Actually a little faster. These are computer generated from Load from a Disc. This same program is the one we used on the 243 LBC. It turned out closer than I thought it would be. These are just for comparison. We haven't actually shot it yet.
50gr.3850 55gr. 3700 60gr. 3560

Heck Kerry is getting more then 3400 with a 58 Vmax out the New 243 LBC and still has more to get out of it, ;D
The 22 LBC will be a wicked caliber, along with the 20 LBC , cant wait to start testing them.

What are the plans for barrel length on these? Similar to a 223 or longer for maximizing speed?

Those numbers came from a 22 inch barrel. I would guess you would loose 25-30 fps per inch. That is still higher than is possible from a .223

Carl tells me that, "the longer barrels are possible, however, they are not practical and requires special set ups. Currently we have no plans to go longer than 24"."

Hello,
I was just curious if this project ended up coming to fruition? Couldnt find too much info on it online.
It sounds like 6.5 grendel brass can simply be necked down with any Grendel bushing die, probably in 3 steps? After firing, if sizing with a FL Grendel bushing die, does it size the brass appropriately?
Thanks Jon

That is what the final designation is. It is actually being discussed a tad right now. As to case forming three will get it. The regular Grendel bushing dies work fine after firing it is an LBC but they work fine. No LBC dies are on the market just like there are no 556 dies, they are all 223. Greg PS: Watch the board for NEW developments today!!! PPS: Welcome to the board and the world of BHW.
