I just picked up a 243lbc upper with no bolt carrier group and have no idea what I need any and all help will be appreciated If it is a Black Hole barrel you will need a 7.62 X 39 bolt. As far as I know all 243 LBC barrels are headspaced with a bolt face .125 deep.

It's a bhw 24 inch barrel so I need a 7.62x39 bcg correct That is correct. You will also need some brass. If you use Hornady 6.5 Grendel brass you will have to turn the necks. We have been using AA 6.5 Grendel brass. It is made by Lapua for Alexander Arms. It does not require neck turning and is priced only a few dollars per hundred more than Hornady brass. As for dies you have several options. When this project first started we were using Hornady 6 PPC dies. I am now using a Redding type S die in 6.5 Grendel, and using a .267 bushing. Again the Hornady dies work well. To seat bullets, use the 6mm Hornady seater die. All Hornady 6mm seating dies are the same. So if you have any Hornady dies for one of the other 6mm cartridges your set as far as the seater die. I have also used a Wilson 6 PPC seating die and an arbor press. That works well but is cost prohibitive.

I believe Tactical Ammunition has BCG's in stock. It would be worth a call.
