So I am waiting on my 6x6.8 from Ritch ( only 7 days now) and am as excited as ever about this thing for windy day dogs. But anyhow I just ordered everything I need ( I think). Redding FL bushing dies, .267 bushing, .285 bushing, 300 pieces of Hornady brass ( all palmetto state Armory had I was wanting1000), and last but not least 1000 Hornady Zmax 58gr. Now im on the hunt for powder and primers. I am leaning towards CFE223 powder but can't decide on what primers to stuff in the case. What do you guys recommend.

I like Rem. 7 1/2's. Ritch likes CCI 450's IIRC. You might like Wolf. The rifle will tell you.

Is the Hornady large rifle or small rifle primers?

Small rifle primers. If you use Remington brass with large rifle primer pockets back your load off 1 grain and work up.

Thanks Greg and Ritch. The only small Rifle primers i have been able to get my hands on were 2,000 winchester. I may bite the bullet and pay some hazmat shipping

I would try the Winchesters first. There is no reason they wouldn't work. I am just set in my ways with the CCI's.

I do see plenty of the 8208 in stock. After I looked at the burn chart I see superformance is alot slower.

well i picked up a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44 Dead Hold for the rifle today. Now all i need is a trigger. I have a DPMS trigger with the JP enterprise yellow springs and its not terrible heavy just lots of creep. The wife is ready to divorce my ass now, so the trigger is going to have to wait till summer.
