I don't know if it qualify's but the local range does a .22 rifle/pistol event that is structured on the Ruger rimfire challenge. I shoot it with my daughter. moving targets, gongs & other interesting. Cheap to shoot--can be great way to shot. They do three gun but haven't tried because I didn't have anything for the rifle part except for hunting bolt guns. .22 challenge teaches humilitity really quick for me....... I'm sure when you do it people will be really helpful...most are there for the fun....
If you get good enough and could get endorsement from Master Yoda and WSMbuck they do a industry team shoot at the local range that allows industry people to interact and shoot all venture that are offerred in the facility(trap, five stand, sporting clays, long range to 500 meters, and rifle).
Good luck and I'm sure you will find it interesting and fun...

I am. I shot a 3-gun event with my BHW barreled AR yesterday. I have an 18" barrel on my gun and my buddy has a 16" BHW on his and we did pretty well at distance. Both shooting in Limited (irons only) it was no problem clearing 2 plate racks (6" plates) at 100 yds. I realize its not bench rest performance to hit a 6" plate at this distance but on the clock, after running and shooting a shotgun, 1 rack prone the other freestyle (prone not an option) we were both very pleased.

I have been doing action pistol/IDPA/USPSA for about 5-6 years now, and last year did my 1st 2 gun, hope to do more 2 gun and get into 3 gun this year. I was just curious if we had any other shooters that like to shoot-n-move!

I've been using AR's in tactical style matches for a bit over 20 years now. I have shot 3 Gun all over the US including the US 3 Gun Nationals.
I helped get AR and 3 gun side matches started in Oklahoma back in the late 80's and we went from there. My original AR was an Ultra Match OLY and after we started long range steel I stepped up to a 6X45 for increased down range energy to take the steel targets down.
I have shot my 6X45 in many police type sniper matches (short range of 450 yards or less) for many years and have done well with them. MY wife also competed for years and ran a full custom Shilen barreled 6X45 17" gun. I use hers for the up close and personal urban matches as mine is a pretty heavy set up with a large Leupold and an extra dot on the hand guard for some and dirty.
Bipods are run on all our guns and slings are added as the match requires it.
I'll be glad to post some pics if there is any interest in that area.

What would it take to have some of my product shown in the competitions?

An upper in 223 or 6X45 would be usable in 3 Gun here in Arizona that is shot quite a bit and I have participated in. There is a longer range sniper match that goes out to 600 yards so stepping up to a 260 or the LBC possibly would be a way to go. The LBC could be run on my lower as I don't have a 308 size compatible lower in the safe.
Obviously a flat top would be the way to go for any of them.
