Anyone ever notice the number of posters that seem to get ten posts or so and then just disappear or quit posting? I wonder what happens to all of them? Do you think they just lost interest or were they justing getting their ticket punched for a 10% discount? Inquiring minds .......inquire. Greg

I generally tend to read more than post when I first sign up on a new forum but I'll see what I can do. ;D

I've been a member if other forums for years and only recently "stumbled upon" this one... With only so many hours in a day I have to use my online time wisely. ;D Plus, because of our current political climate, and the BHW fluting machine being down, I am still waiting on parts to complete my builds. Can't shoot them till they're completed! And don't have anything else to say till I can shoot them!

Bump it to 50 posts, that will show who really wants to be here or not. ;D Also moderators on snipershide and Enos forums will check who is selling stuff in the classifieds and make sure they are not just saying "cool!" And +1 to post bump. Quick way to get banned over there.

I am a member of many forums. i am more of a lurker. I do post on some more than others and i try to contribute my share.
heck i didn't even know about the discount when i ordered my first barrel from BHW. it is a nice bonus but not why i am here.
personally i wouldn't care if it was bumped to 25-30 posts.

being ten for the discount is actually a good idea. Get people to sample the goods and either get hooked or get lost. I am a member on another AR focussed site and have been for ten years but my post count is only at 250. I lurk and reas more than I post.

Those who want to learn and those who want to share, will stay the course.

Those who want to learn and those who want to share, will stay the course. Agreed. I enjoy reading the forum and will post when I have something to add (when Greg or Ritch don't beat me to it ;-) Unfortunately, have been busier recently and time online has been limited. -Mike PS 5 weeks and counting waiting for my BHW 264 LBC Type II

About four weeks into waiting for my order of a BHW 16 inch 6.8 SPC II light with mid gas. Down in Texas on a trip learning how to hog hunt on a small property I bought here then back to Washington for turkey hunting.

Don't change it until I get my order in for an 18" 308 barrel!

Heh! Yeah, I think that discount is part of it. As for myself-- I just don't have a heck of a lot to post about right now. I got all the parts I need except for a Bolt Carrier Group (NOBODY seems to have any) and the barrel, which should be here within the next couple of weeks (order placed 1/16/2013).
I'm sure once I have my AR built and completed, I'll have a little more material to post (days at the range, for one, and probably some troubleshooting needed-- this is my first attempt at a build, after all).

I Think that posting more about what I am waiting on would just make me a whinner. The rest of the world is doing more than their share of that so i will leave those with that talent to it. as far as shooting goes. It snowed here again last night so even though the range is empty, I have nothing new to play with. A recently acquired XD in 9mm was surprisingly accurate last week. My 243 win still does not shoot well if I poison the bore with a different brand of bullets before shooting groups. I know it is not the twenty -thirty five mile an hour cross winds (they appear whenever I have time off), the driven snirt dirt snow or rain. because its always something. It could not be the numb fingers and toes , because I spent to much time in north Dakota for that to bother. As I unload my truck and start bill drills I wonder where all the guys that bought all the primers are; probably thinking that It will be good shooting next month when the spring winds start. The answer to your question could not have to do with the season could it. The only people I know who shoot in all weather are hard competitors and me. 2 weeks ago those at the facility who had to Qualify complained of jamming p4 storms and numb fingers while I was at the range shooting far and near standards with a clipped 686. Hope this helps yall figure this out P miller

I came across this site not long ago after getting my first, actually two, BHW barrels. I've made some posts as a means to fit in and keep things fresh.
I like the site and wish it were more active... it time...
