With all the developments with semi-auto rifles, will the run of the mill bolt action rifles become white elephants?
Seems like we can hunt everything from prairie dogs to deer (or bigger) with ARs. Who is gonna want an old Savage or Remington in a caliber such as .243 that shoots about 1 minute of angle on a good day?

The bolt guns will rule the pure acvuracy world long aftet I am gone. Greg PS: Those old 243 guns I shoot won't do an MOA unless I flinch. The shoot way better!! (VBG)

I agree with the above, while I do most of my hunting and "general shooting" with the AR15 pltfrom, I still love to just single load and fire my bolt guns...
Bolt guns will be here until the end of time.

I do like my bolt gun but the semi auto's are pretty fun to shoot.

Used rem 700 prices are a lot lower than used AR prices. From the shooting I have done the ergonomic and fit of evolved weapons (bolt guns) seem easier to shoot.

My old Savage turn bolt, is way more accurate than I am. It's a .270 and likes the 130 grain pills. I have some other light stuff, but if not broken, don't mess with it.
