I was wondering if using a 5 rd mag can you get away with using the standard 223 mag or do i need to get another 5rd as well. I know the hicap mags are different but I am not sure about the small ones. Thanks Brian

Roomer has it that it works. I haven't tried it myself. I personally use PRI mags they allow me to seat to 2.300 and they always feed. They are a little pricy but after you have spent all the money for a custom rifle, what is $40.00

Are the PRI mags available in 5rd? If I take it to Michigan hunting that is all that is allowed in the woods with a semi auto center fire rifle.

I am not sure, but it would be an easy fix to block one.

Depending on what cartridge you are using the ASC mags are a good deal. I have the five round version for the Grendel. They seat to 2.300 and can be used on the 6.8 family too with 100% reliability.

I am not sure, but it would be an easy fix to block one. I guess I forgot that that can be done. But I am going to need a couple more, I picked one up from midway to get going on it. I am hoping my 6.8 barrel will be here by the end of the week. I am still in a fight for time to shoot the thing though.
