I bought a box of Nosler 55 gr SHOTS bullets on a whim. I had no idea they were going to be as short as they are. Any way I am going to try them tomorrow in a 6X68. They should be running about 3600 FPS if they stay together. They should be pretty explosive with the exposed lead tip. I will report back when I get the results.

Update on the Nosler SHOTS. I fired 4 rounds ONE made it to the target. My suspicions were correct, they are made for a low velocity round. The 6X68 is to much for them, and my barrel is a 1 in 10 twist I fired the remaining 6 rounds down range and the gray cloud was clearly visible about 15 to 20 yards from the muzzle.
I am going to try them in a 6X45 with a reduced powder charge and see what that will do. I am guessing about 2700 and it will be a good rabbit load.

They perform great in my 6x45 at 3000 fps in front of exterminator powder. A pal dumped them on me and they are VERY short in length. I shot them all up on p-dogs anyway.

Good to hear as I've got a 6x45 barrel ordered and a couple boxes of the 55gr shots
