I was asked to shoot a ten shot group out of my new Black Hole 6.8 barrel. I had not shot this barrel through a Chronograph yet so I set up and shot through it. I just got a chance to review the numbers. I wasn't all that impressed until I looked at the Hornady manual the load came from. I used their data of 31 gr Benchmark and a 90 gr Sierra HP. They have it running 2853 FPS with a 24 inch barrel. Now here is what I found. That same exact load is running at 2874 FPS from my barrel. 21 FPS is no big deal until you factor in mine is a 20 inch barrel.
