I got a group picture from Carl last PM. This is one of his 24" 308 barrels that he decided to take for a test drive. No load data other than it was 100 yards out. If Carl had some trigger time it might be even better but he is too busy running around trying to keep production up. Word is I get my first Savage barrel next week. He tells me this is about what he has been getting with the barrels he has had time to shoot. Greg

that is some nice shooting.
Do you know if it is possible to purchase an un chambered savage barrel in 6.5?
I would like one in 6.5-06 and my smith has the reamer but i like the poly barrels.

At the present time they are chambering all of their barrels. A friend of mine just bought a 6.5 Grendel to rechamber to another cartridge.

Thank you i will have to think about that. FWIW, I would go with the .260 Remington chambering and then have it re-chambered to 6.5-06' if that is what your looking for...The G'Smith will have a much easier time re-chambering from the .260 Rem. vs. the Grendel as there is much less material to be cut. Good Luck.

I am interested in a Savage drop-in 30in barrel. Last I spoke with Jason, you were limited to 26in max length. When will you be set up for longer than 26in?
Thanks
