Have been working with a 25DTI for several mo. H-335 w/70Gr.BK 31.1gr. gave an avg.Vel of 3125fps. and grp. of .550 8208 also works well with the 70 BK and 75V-max. 2460 works with the 80TTSX and CFE223 works well with the 90's and 100's Will get some chrono work done next week. I know data will not be a direct crossover but this may eliminate some false starts. The Federal brass seems to hold up nearly as well as SSA or Horn. and is lots easier to obtain. CCI 450's and REM 71/2's are the choice for primers and all loads are seated to 2.29-2.30 in PRI mags.

I have been shooting a 20 Tactical from Mike for several years and it truly is a dog killing machine. In fact real world results for his chamberings are beyond question. I shot my BHW 20 Practical along side it this summer and felt they were certainly adequate for the job. Neither shaded each other but then quality is quality and the poly rifled barrel gets more get up and go with less stress on the platform. I have to give the nod to the ease of case forming on the Practical also. We have shot quite a bit of the 6MM DTI data in the 6X6.8 in the past and found it adequate. The increased shoulder of the DTI has no real statistical influence on the results as far as we can determine. One thing we do know across the board that given the same charge the BHW barrel will always out run a similar case in an Enfield barrel. We are running pressures as we go as opposed to the Quick Load data that is being put out by various cartridge designers at this time. Real world results are much more usable than guessing as to what is going on with a computer program. With the thousands or round we have put down range in the 6X6.8 developing loading data for actual commercial sales we have not stubbed our toe, yet, and so far everything is behaving as we anticipated. The groups being shot with the 6.8 variants are without question some of the smallest I have seen posted up in the net. It would appear there are more virtual shooters lurking in the Ethernet than real life flesh and blood trigger pullers. The use of these barrels on Savage actions is really bringing out the potential on these. I can't wait to see how the 25X6.8 will do. I think the numbers will be astounding once we get it going. We are getting 3100 plus out of a 75 grain 223 bullet so given expansion ratios the numbers ought to be able to exceed that by a goodly number. Time will tell on that one. Greg

Her are some quick data points on the 25DTI from a standard rifled 18" tube that looks at a nice cross section of bullets and powders. I'll be shooting mine in the next week or so and will post up some comparisons.
