Someone here had already beat me to it . While talking on the phone with CH4D, I explained the 6.5-6.8 and that I needed a custom die set and would forward him a reamer print. He asked me to hold on and returned , telling me to go ahead and send it but he already had the print on hand for a reamer set already. I thought even better and told him to put me down for a set.

I didn't here that big THANK YOUfor Ritch on that one!! THREAD RIP OFF
I have been talking with Dave at CH4D over the last week. We can get some expedited sizers done in about 3-4 months as he has something in the pipeline he can use for a base to start from. I need a head count on those if guys want them. They would be a standrd non-bushing sizer that is just like a normal sizer from RCBS set and you would use a generic Hornady 6.5 seater. Now the QUICK FIX IN STOCKOrder, from CH4D, a 6.8 SPC NS BUSHING DIEthis will let you have the bushing option to go for 6.5 or smaller. Also order a STANDARD 6.8 SPC FL DIE thatthey have in stock Now you NECK FIRST and then use the 6.8 die as a body/bump. Not the cheapest way but they will get you running fast. Sizing on the fired cases will be a two step but that is hardly a deal breaker to shoot this one. Greg

Exactly how I'm going about it, their generic 6.5 neck die until the standard FL Die is finished. I called them today to confirm a order for a reamer print I had sent them a month or so ago(6.5 Brooke) and to pick up a generic neck die. Then we got talking & talking & talking some more . That's when I mentioned the 6.5x6.8 and then we talked more & more and more.....

how much is the custom die set going to cost? The do it all standard about $70.00 and a wait. The neck size and the FL size available now are about $60.00 = or - each. Then about $18.00 for a Hornady 6.5 generic seater. Greg PS: Dave IS a talker..LOL I learned a lot just chatting with him and I already know a tad.

What would be the advantage of the c4hd dies vs. using a redding full length bushing die in 6.8spc with a .287 bushing and a 6.5 Grendel die for seating?
