Could not believe my eyes. First load shot on a freshly cleaned barrel. I will set up my chrono when the sun comes out.

Good looking rifle you have there. That's going to be something else when you get the handguard NIB.
Again, thank you and look forward to more range reports as you do your load testing.

Got a few numbers today from my 16" carbine gas. One thing I noticed is it doesn't matter what charge you use for accuracy as they all are under a half inch. Some going through the same hole. AA2000 125 Nosler Accubond (American 30) 31.0-2466 didn't get reading on other 2 shots. Chrono wasn't set up right. 32.0-2486,2499,2480 32.2-2516,2511,2510 32.4-2523,2538,2545 The case is pretty full at this point but no signs of pressure. I can barely make out an imprint on some if you hold the light right. I'm not sure of the max but it doesn't seem like I'm there yet.

Ballistic tip and Lapua 123 gr. FMJ bullets I want to start with. I have an 18" mid-length gas barrel coming in. With the 32.2 and 32.4 grain loads your in the 2500+ zone that was mentioned. Thanks for breaking the ice with this new caliber and sharing your data. Glenn

The speed is flattening on the increase. I'd maybe go up two increments and call it good if it looks OK. If the next step up is flat quit on the lower one you just shot. Build a cushion for safety in the heat.
I'm pleased that you are having such great results. It's nice to have our results verified independently.

Think I am going to stick at or very close to 32.0. Going to play around in that area anyways. I added data from last post with this one. Here is what I came up with with my 16" carbine
AA2200 125gn Accubond 31.0---2419,2442,2435,2451,2427 31.2---2452,2450,2451 31.4---2457,2459,2461 31.6---2446,2455,2459 31.8---2417,2417,2430 Not sure whats going on there 32.0---2486,2499,2460,2492 32.2---2516,2511 32.4---2523,2538,2545

Good idea on your load choice as well as it is shooting. Thanks for posting up the data. Everyone gets some knowledge when it is done by a competent handloader.

I'm liking the velocity and numbers on the 32.2 load.
"AA2200 125 Nosler Accubond 32.2-2516,2511,2510"

I'm liking the velocity and numbers on the 32.2 load. "AA2200 125 Nosler Accubond 32.2-2516,2511,2510" For a 16" gun that equates right on the speeds that work from 16"-20". Bullet placement with that Accubond means DRT. Greg

125g Accubond hits the lands at 2.302.Think I will load @2.292 Instead of 2.295. Probably wont make any difference but might re leave any pressure spike on the high end.

I load most of mine to 2.295 on the bigbullets as I will usually start at 0.008 off the lands across the board if I can get that close. Ritch jams them and I may well adapt his method. Like he says you only have one way to go if you start as long as possible. A word of caution though is you better have some decent neck tension on the bullet if you try this at home. Don't ask how I know...LOL) Greg

This is looking to be a very nice round..
madcat, thanks for taking the time to post your work. I see that BHW offers three twist rates which one is in your 16" barrel?
