I've noticed that there are a list of calibers for placing orders on rifle barrels with BHW. I've heard that BHW has been able to do other cartridges upon request. Is this true? More specifically I've been peering into the 6mm Creedmoor arena. Any light shed on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard no mention of it being on the radar. Greg

I have heard no mention of it being on the radar. Greg I started out with a 308 shooting 175SMK. Then went to a .260 and 142SMK for 3 years. Last year I switched to 6mm Creedmoor and also had a 6x47 Lapua built. I put just over 1800rds through the Creedmoor and just over 800 on the 6x47 Lapua. The 6's are definitely the ticket for the type of matches I shoot. It's funny how some stated the 6 would not move the steel at longer distances. I had no problem with that at all. In one match in Oklahoma they had targets out to 1400 yds. No problem with hit indication. I do not push the creedmoor too hard, 3090fps with a 105 Hybrid. You will hear about barrel life too. I will shoot the creedmoor till it is done since I have the 6x47 ready to go. The best part now is finding this sight. See both my big horn actions are threaded 20 tpi for that very reason. BHW just got better. Wishing everyone a very good year!!!!

That's exactly what I'm thinking, Dino. I have only competed with 308--also shooting 175SMKs and 178AMax--and am crushed every time I ask the shooter next to me what his dope was for that last target. I've been on ranges shooting against 6xc's and 6creedmoors that are almost cutting my dope in half at 1100+ yds. I have a 300wsm with a bartlein barrel, but that gets very expensive to shoot, very quickly. I think these BHW barrels are a great option for match shooters that know how to properly headspace their rifles. Being able to purchase a Match grade barrel that is prechambered and threaded for under $350 and install it yourself allows you to invest more resources into actual actual shooting. I just ordered a 308B barrel for my LR308 platform that has been sitting in a pile of parts in my garage for several months now (Happy New Years to me!). I would like to pick up a barrel for my savage and make it strictly a match use rifle, but would prefer to skip the 6.5mm and jump straight into the 6 creed. However, I may have to wait this one out until demand rises.
