I looked at Tactical Ammunitions website and didn't find anything on the ammunition, can you share what was discussed at SHOT about the ammo or provide information. Thanks |

Love the nostalgic propaganda posters.
I have the American 30 barrel, and assorted BHW swag.
Do you plan on selling these posters?
Look real good in my reloading room next to the charcoal drawing on the P51D, Petie 3.

Posters are great. But show the dies, accessories, specs of velocity and energy of cartridge, this is closer to 300 savage then 30-30, how easy to make cartridge .
Do you have a display showing off the specs and advantages over 223 and 300 bk out and 6.8.

Carl just sent me a picture of the new 125 grain Sierra Tipped Match Kings just released. He is testing them in the A-30. They ought to snuggle up very well. Who knows they may well end up in the factory offerings  Greg |

Tell me how do these new Sierra MKT compare to Amax. Similar construction. Nathan on ballistic studies in NewZealand loves Amax for hunting small to medium game deer sized game with Amax good Down to 1400fps, fragments well, quick kill long range.
This new Sierra MKT in 125gr. And 155gr. Convinced me 30 American was way to go over 6.5 x 6.8.
Will Sierra MKT 155gr fit in windowed mag? Short neck?
Maybe but together a board of good projectiles that fit 30 American like they do for 6.8 showing as many bullets that work well with 30 American,
When I saw over 30 bullets for 6.8 I knew it was worth getting.

They just released them. No idea how they compare. None of these are over the counter yet so what lenght is hard to tell. As for bullets we have found the standard 150 and less load fine. Ritch and I shoot bullets that will load well. At some point the shooter has to try some on his own. As for the short necks its plenty short already. You've can't get good neck tension and bullet alignment if you go much shorter. If you want to have at. These are all wildcats. We go on what we think and test. I suggest you buy a couple and jump into the pond. Spoon feeding is not how anyone develops skill in the world we are operating in with these innovations. If a bullet works at X velocity in Australia it will do the same in the US. It doesn't care how it gets launched. Greg |
