I've started on a 7mm08 ar10 build. I plan on using all these 160 accubond bullets I've been sitting on for many years. I switched to 180 smk and bergers for my 7mag. Seem the only way I get rid of bullets is out the end of a barrel. I ordered a 22" standard profile and am hoping im not going to lose too much velocity. All my bhw barrels are 24" except the 300blkout. I'm thinking on using it mainly for hunting. Anyone have an ballpark idea on what velocity I might be getting on say factory ammo in the 140 range? If I can get 2600-2700 range with the 160's, I'd be happy.

Hornady gives some easy ways in thier book and the rilfing on these will help a great deal. Greg

I am thinking about an 8-07 rem upper build. Where can I find a reasonable cost barrel or it?

I am thinking about an 8-07 rem upper build. Where can I find a reasonable cost barrel or it? Maybe I'm confused. You're on the site for one of the premier companies in the US. The Black Hole sales site has more options than Carter has pills. BHW SALES isn't hard to find. Plus you get 10% off the price if you mention you are a member here using your screen name in the comments section. Greg

So here is the finished build. I'm hoping to take her out tomorrow. Going to try some 139gr and 160 accubonds. I'll post more after i shoot.

Oh my. That is one good looking rig. I'm hoping it shoots as well as it looks.

Well i started with light loads of rl15 for both of the 139gr sp and 160 accubonds I loaded some of the old 139gr for break in and spotters then tried 5 of the hunting load of 39.6 from sierra (i believe) with 3 touching. Then the 160 accubonds. Groups at 37.8, 38.1, and 39.3 had groups at and just under 1/2". 39.3 is just over max but no pressure signs. It looks promising.

Had a few extra rounds and wanted to see how they did at my range. First the 600. Second was the 775. Then the 1100. All are @ 9° up angle. 1100 is 2 draws over. Had to play with velocities but then pretty consistent. Still more loads to try. Rl19 is the next powder im going to try.
