With new upper I experienced a few "stove pipe" ejections, along with a 100% failure to feed even when spent casing was ejected. Tried swapping out magazine with a new replacement; no improvement. Both were new and made by CP. I then removed the bCG, wiped it down with Remington G.oil, and replaced it. Now my spent casing are ejecting normally, but I'm still getting 100% failure to feed. The bolt is fully locked in the barrel extension...The trigger is reset, but there is no fresh round in the chamber. I used a standard A2 buffer and spring with the Ace Skeleton rifle length stock. It has a mid length gas tube, and low profile,non-adjustable gas block. There was an indexing drill mark on the barrel, so I was able to readily insure that the gas block was set in place properly. The bolt is new and was head spaced to barrel. Is this a case of breaking in, where firing a few more boxes of ammo, along with additional lubrication of bolt carrier group, will solve issues?
PS..After firing I thoroughly cleaned everything, loaded the magazines and chambered a fresh round. The BCG strips off a fresh round each time, while I used the charging handle to pull the bcg. Seems smooth. There is no apparent issue with the key lining up with the gas tube, and the bolt goes forward fully each time without a hitch.

It has to catch on the bolt catch not the back of the magazine. If it locks back it's not a gas problem. What is the ejection pattern?

The ejection pattern was generally 2-4 o'clock. I do remember the bolt locking back on an empty magazine once...Not 100% sure that was the case each and every time.

The problems I was having were caused by a leaking gas key on my brand new bolt carrier. Once I swapped out the bolt carrier it worked like a charm. No more failure to eject or feed properly. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again for your help. That's an issue I rarely think of. I've personally never got one of those. It seems I'm hearing of them more and more lately though. Greg

So yesterday was the first day out with the new 264LBC build. FTE every round. Went home, hit the forums. Pulled out the dremel and broke the edge on bothe the extractor and the ejector. Took it back out today, and it was FLAWLESS!
