Whether you use Hornady of RCBS 30 Herrett dies, I have the RCBS, once you have all your brass fire formed for final sizing, do the dies just resize the neck and shoulder, or the entire case? This question is posed because I don't know if the sies also resize the base, which may cause base expansion and feeding issues. Again, an ignorant question, not a stupid one. Thanks!!

The die DOES NOT size the entire case. It goes as far as the bottom of the case web. It does not hurt anything as the part of the case not being sized is the solid case head. The base is solid and does not expand at normal pressure. We have shot and resized without any problem at pressures that the normal shooter should never see. We also have never had a problem with feeding after shooting and sizing.

Reloading manuals, Hornady, Speer, and Nosler...online, Hodgdon and Alliant. My press is an RCBS Rock Chucker and the trimmer is a Lee that I've adapted for use on my drill press. I'm getting all my info from you guys, mostly, especially the base loading cartridge..the 7.62x39. Great info, too, btw. Thanks for all of it.
