It's even the same when I compare my Grendel to my LBC. You might want to look at your extractor or the extractor spring. I take the rubber bumper out of the springs on my LBC-Grendel bolts. I also round the corners of the extractor. It saves my brass from being torn up. Another trick is cut 1 coil off the ejector spring. This gives the extractor claw a chance to catch the rim of the brass when it chambers.

One thing of note is when Ritch and I resize our cases we don't set them back to factory height. 0.002-0.005 is our goal based on where it is being shot. For my long range single load stuff I keep it very tight. For the must go bang every time like on coyotes etc. we tend toward the 0.005 bump.

BTW: IMHO those little rubber deals in the extractors are an invention of the Debbil. I exorcise mine as soon a sI get a bolt with them.

Can you pull the BCG and manually snap a case under the extactor and it be held firmly?

Can you pull the BCG and manually snap a case under the extactor and it be held firmly? Greg yes, i placed a case under the extractor lip and put pressure on it with my finger and it will not pop out until i let go. i did this with and without the ejector mounted. Bruce

another thing i tried was snipping off more of the ejector spring 1/2 coil at a time until i got 3 full coils off it trying to extract the case each time with no success(i have a spare).
i got the case to extract from the chamber only after removing the ejector assembly completely, go figure! with the ejector assembly mounted it won't extract. the once fired brass will extract and eject by hand no problem but the cases have been formed.
any other suggestions? i'm all ears.
Bruce

So when you fire it it leaves the case completely in the chamber. The bolt comes back and will lock on an empty magazine leaving the fired case in the chamber?
