The reason I ask is that primer pockets are still good on brass I have 10, 12, 15 loads on. Actually haven't worn any brass out yet. Does that mean my loads are extremely mild? (Duh). I was just curious how long it was lasting for everyone else.

Bump up the powder charge and the primer pockets will go south in a few firings. Hornady brass is known for being soft. When I was pressure testing the 243 LBC, I lost some pockets in as few as 2 firings with Hornady brass. With the cost of Lapua brass so close to the Hornady, ( Less than $10.00 per 100 ) Lapua actually is the cheaper way to go. I still have some of the original Lapua brass I started with and still going strong. I have lost count of how many loadings it has on it. If I had to guess it would be around 20. I tested 3 different barrels with it. Some of the loads I tested were in the 58 to 60.000 PSI range, which is way over the top, but the Lapua just kept taking it.

Thanks for the info. Where are you getting your Lapua brass Ritch? I see it for close to $1 each wherever I look. I'm definitely not opposed to buying some as I've always had good luck with it also.
I'm not sure if I'd bump any loads up regardless as It seems to shoot well with 100's at 2600+ (18" barrel) and 85's at 2800 fps, and I'm at max or above according to published data. An extra 100 fps always looks nice but not really sure it makes much difference for what I will do with it.
Do you think, according to my brass life, that I'm under the potential performance parameters for the round? Meaning will Hdy brass and the max pressure for this round in an AR max out at the same point?
I'm just trying to get a gauge for where I'm at afa pressures. It's hard to read pressure signs at this low of a level as there really aren't any. It sounds like my loads are plenty safe.
