Good afternoon all. Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to the forum. My name is Adam & I live in great convection oven of Phoenix Az. Getting ready to build my first AR (I'm mostly a bolt action guy) & I've been gathering good info from here for the last few months so I figured I'd go ahead & join the group.

It is a nice place to swap BHW data and lore. Convection oven is right!! LOL. Since I'm in N. PHX I identify with that. What are you building? greeg

Hello there Greg, ive seen posts from you all over the place (lots of good info i must say) Im waiting for my cousin to finish machining my uppers & lower for me. His shop from what im told was machining SunDevil Manufacturing's parts & decided to delve into the business for themselves. Im building a coyote rig. Put together a Savage several years ago in .243 & got hooked on the putting them together myself bug. That & my .220 Swift are my two main go to rifles for song dog but i had the itch for a semiauto. Im a big fan of all things 6mm so originally i was going to do a 6x45 but while i was browsing this site i came across the 6x6.8 & that has really caught my eye. Near .243 performance with 70-75gr pills & alot less powder. My go to load for .243 is a Sierra 75HP over 42.5gr of IMR 4350 (fairly mild load) at just over 3200fps but it makes cloverleafs at 100yrds & its hell on coyotes. Ive notice that the 6x6.8 can approach those same numbers & i believe will fit the bill.

My schedule is pretty flexible and if you desire any face to face coaching on the AR stuff let me know. I think I have a handle on those. Greg
