I haven't seen a thread addressing this for the 243lbc, anyway as time has rolled on I thought maybe someone had shot out one by now?
For the record I don't keep a very accurate count on mine, except I do keep track of loadings on brass. So, I have 100 pc Lapua that is on its 10th loading, and 100 pcs Hdy that is on it's 4th. So that's 1200 + rnds fired, not counting some other brass I've used for load work up etc. I'm going to call it 1400 rnds through mine with no signs of any degradation of accuracy yet.
Any one else have a round count?

Any one else have a round count? No one I have heard of has shot one out yet. Many shooters could have trouble defining shot out. One shot out for Ritch might be totally different for Joe Blow Shooter. It comes down to how good is bad. My feelings for gilt edge accuracy? You are maybe half way there. Stainless barrels die fast when thy go. They don't degrade over time as much as the CM versions. Greg |

I would consider 3000 rnds pretty decent life. It's just a neat round and has such good balance between performance and mild-manners/barrel life. Just enough faster than a 6x45 to make it seem like it's on a different level. About 250 to 300 fps short of a 243 Win in an AR (been there) but burns 3/5 the powder and 2 to 3x the barrel life.
Well maybe this winter or next time I have a little money to burn maybe I'll order up a replacement barrel to have on hand. Of course that's assuming our new Queen will still allow such things...
