Got the same question, anyone try the new 35gr nxt hornady bullet with good BC in .223 it would seem that this would be very close to a .204 ruger that it wouldn't be worth getting a .204?

Got the same question, anyone try the new 35gr nxt hornady bullet with good BC in .223 it would seem that this would be very close to a .204 ruger that it wouldn't be worth getting a .204? The normal VMAX has a BC of 0.109. The NXT has a BC of 0.170. The 40 Grain VMAX 224 has a BC of 0.200. Not a good trade off going down in the weight. The 32 gr. Sierra 20 cal has a BC of 0.221 and the 39 has a BC of 0.287. A much more usable BC from my hands on experience in shooting the 40 VMAX and the 20 cal Sierra's. I find the 39 grain 20's are great way out there in my 204's and my 20 Tactical. I will use the 40 VMAX loaded HOT and it is passable but not quite the flatness of trajectory I like. Greg
