I got my upper back from Carl the other day, did some final loadings and headed to the range. I think its going to be a shooter. My 1st group is here, this is factory 123gr Hornady ammo this next pic is my 1st load with 95gr Vmax and 8208 powder, I didn't get a chance to shoot the rest of the load test, got called way from the range. Both targets are at 100yds. BUt I did find out my gun does NOT like the Hornady 120gr GMX's here you can see the 100yd results with this bullet. This was at 100yds as well the two smaller groups were my base line with the factory ammo, I then shot 3 sets of 4 rounds for load development, the bullets were not stabilizing very well and were shotgun pattern at best. Also had light flattening fo the primers on these rounds as well, not bad, but you could see it. I will have to look for another big game bullet I guess....any suggestions? Also I tried several different types of magazines, I tried some colt 20rnders, thermomolds, and my Cprod. mags, only loading them at 4 rounds each, anyhow they all functioned fine...we'll try more rounds in the mags after I get load development done. Will post more results as I get to the range again. So far so good.
