Hello,
I have a BHW 24 in type 1 barrel and bolt. I started looking at resizing 7.62 into Grendel and ran across an issue that I have not found an answer too.
I have a Lyman case gauge and noticed that none of the 7.62 resized cases fit pass the rim. Doing some research the 6.5 has a .44 rim and the 7.62 has a .447.
But the type 1 uses a 7.62 bolt so the 7.62 case should fit. IS there a different gauge for the type 1 and 2?
I have watch a number of video with people doing the conversion and none of them seem to have that issue.
Any input would be great.
Thanks

Same case gauge. Throw that gauge away. Use your chamber as the ultimate gauge.
