I am looking into building an American 30 rifle for target shooting and mule deer and antelope hunting. Is there any advantage to building a rifle on a New Frontier Armory C-6.8 receiver set to get a little more cartridge OAL?

No as the chamber is designed for mil soec guns. Being able to load longer will not gain you anything usable to any notable level IMHO. Since the case is shorter we designed in the ability to seat long.

Thanks. I will look at regular mil-spec AR-15 receivers. What twist should I consider if I am planning on shooting 110-150 gr bullets? Also does the 20" barrel get the most out of this cartridge?

Is there any advantage to building a rifle on a New Frontier Armory C-6.8 receiver set to get a little more cartridge OAL? We have had great luck with a 1:11. I see the newest batch offers a 9.73 twist. I have shot that twist in other 30's and it will be fine for your needs. I do feel a 20" will get the job done for your goal. The A30 has taken numerous mule deer and some elk using the 125 grain pills. With the new solids that BHW is producing you will be well served. Greg

I built my upper with a standard mil-spec upper receiver. I have an AR-Stoner 6.8 SPC magazine (the follower is marked ASC). It allows for a nominal 2.3" OAL. After shooting a few rounds and working up some other loads, I'm sharing a few observations on if the New Frontier Armory C-6.8 upper and lower receivers would be useful. According to the Wikipedia entry for 6.8 SPC, the Six8 Magpul magazine allows for an overall cartridge length (OAL) of 2.32". I load a number of different 30 caliber cartridges from 30 Carbine to 300 Winchester Magnum and have a bunch of different bullets in my reloading supplies. This is part of what made the American 30 appealing to me.
In measuring OAL distance to the lands in my barrel, it looks like a longer OAL would be useful for the 150 gr bullets I have:
Speer 150 BTSP 2.345" Hornady 150 FMJBT 2.362" Hornady 150 Interlock SP 2.352" Hornady 150 Interlock BTSP 2.350" Hornady 150 GMX 2.380" (I wouldn't load this copper alloy bullet in A30. It is very long and fills up too much of the case).
The longer receivers wouldn't be useful for the 125 gr or lighter bullets that I have:
Sierra 125 Pro-Hunter SP 2.295" Hornady 125 FMJ 2.320" Barrys 110 30 Carbine 2.075" (don't use this plated bullet. A30 would push it too fast)

Good work. Out of curiosity what method are you using on to get your numbers? I've went to the Sinclair tool and found it to be very fast and repeatable.
The A30 hasn't minded any jump in the almost 200 loadings we used during development of the cartridge. It hits way above its weight.

I haven't had a chance to get a Sinclair tool yet. I'm using the split case method. I try it 5 times to get a consistent number.
