Before I stick my neck out on another board, and dispel any myths, I think it would be helpful to gain a little insight.
As a prostaffer, it is my job to assist in any misnomers or correct any misleadings or badmouthings about the company or its products.
Here's a few links. Little bit of reading material for you guys:

Now, I remember speaking to Carl about this caliber in depth almost a year ago. Saw that the new barrels were being offered. Since I hadn't had the cash flow to complete the .260REM that we briefly visited about in the past, I've instead worked on little projects (called having a child), and reading lots of material; I am a little concerned. I have been working so much to get things taken care of at the house that I hadn't had much time to get any AR projects finished (not to mention the fact that a few customers have kept my cash flow tied up with their own builds instead of mine!) As a result, I do not want to work on a project that will not benefit the buying public... Most folks in my area who buy an AR10/308 platform semi-auto are buying factory .308 or .243 from Remington or DPMS. Where I live, and folks whom I hunt with or shoot with competitively, the 300BLK is QUITE a bit more appealing and important than the .260 REM. .223Rem and 6.8/.264LBC are even more appealing than the .260REM... so the 260 has gone on the back burner yet again. Hopefully though, as a side note, this project will get finished, but I don't see it happening until after the First of the Year now. That being said, I can't steer them to a direction to a barrel manufacturer, unless I have solid proof that the company has a viable option (speaking of the .300AAC BLK at this point).
Most folks I have visited with about the caliber, want a SBR, will shoot both sub and supersonic. I would use it for supersonic use, with a standard 16" barrel, and a 9" barreled pistol. That being said, the above reading plays into the hunting situation FAR more than the aforementioned personal uses. The other group will shoot out of a 14-16" barrel, for hunting purposes. Hogs and Deer are the key down here, but Deer are not allowed to be hunted with a sound suppressor/silencer. SBRs, no problem.
The caliber, as noted by Remington and AAC for subsonic use, carbine gas systems were the extent of the length of gas system. Nothing LONGER than carbine for a reason: challenges with cycling ammo of all levels (supersonic, subsonic and transonic). I've done my research, however, I don't have a gun to shoot yet. I had a barrel from another manufacturer, as BHW had only 1/11" twist barrels at first. Since the new 8.5" barrels have come out, there's still speculation in the subsonic arena that there are issues.
Obviously this being a public forum, but designed for help and assistance in all areas BHW, I wanted to offer this up so we can brainstorm on how to assist the market in this caliber, and sell more barrels. LOTS of info out there is leading me to believe that the leaders are going to stay leaders, and this "wildcat" that has been submitted to SAAMI will not necessarily be the bread and butter of BHW. I know that's not the case anyway, currently, but wouldn't it be nice to have a greater share?
I know there's been some time spent on this caliber, but for me to do my job, at least on the internet, I have no way to help. My hands are tied at this point. I may be rambling, but any other prostaffer that has dealt with this caliber, please speak up?
I'm not on AR15.com much, except to browse usually, but I'm on SilencerTalk QUITE often. Some of the guys know me quite well from other forums, so they know I'm not stupid or a novice, but in this area, I'm a novice.
Oh.... on a side note..... there's a financial motive for me to start shooting this as well: www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=74305
Please advise what we should do to rectify some of the negative publicity here. I want to sell some barrels for you guys.
