Anyone shot one of the BHW 7.5" barrels in an upper? I am thinking about building a Noveske 7.5" or use a BHW with young low-profile gas block. I have already ordered an Aero Precision upper, Troy 7.6" XTR free-float rail, Noveske Pig suppressor, Vltor charging handle, SAA bolt carrier assembly. I am thinking about going with a 556 or potentially trying a 6.8 SPC...
Thoughts?

I ended up building an upper with a 7" DPMS with an A2 sight that I had to grind down to a low-profile size in order to fit under my 7.6" Troy free-float rail. I liked the idea of using a pinned gas block on this short of barrel to make sure it stayed put. I went with the Aero Precision upper using an M16 BCA and an extra LMT charging handle that I had. I used the very light A.R.M.S BUIS, mini Trijicon ACOG, Fenix light w/VTAC mount, and Noveske's pig flash suppressor. This upper looks similar to Noveske's Diplomat setup and I used my factory LMT 2 staged trigger lower for a tight/reliable package. I was amazed by how well it ran with a noticeable reduction in recoil. What a fun upper to shoot!!! Perhaps, I will try a Black Hole 6.8 version of the above build whenever they are available- I can't stand ordering and waiting for parts... Attachments:
