I'm looking to build a 5.56 AR with a 14.5" barrel.
Can the Dragon Head MB be pinned to the barrel to make it meet the 16" length requirement?

Our DH muzzle break is 2" and as a general rule we personally do not pin our barrels.

Hmmm...
Is there a reason why you don't?
I was really hoping to use a 14.5" barrel for this build.

We leave the pinning and welding up to the barrel owner

Looks like I better find a good gunsmith in my area.
Once I sell my Tactical Rifles SPG then i'll be building a new 5.56 AR.

I cannot own a SBR in Iowa. The minimum barrel length is 16".
I just want to have as short of barrel as possible.
The only option is to buy a 14.5" barrel and have a >1.5" muzzle break pinned/welded on.

Careful on that, approximately 1/2" of the FH will be threaded onto the barrel so you actually need 2" or more worth of FH to reach a 16" total.
