What is the largest game you have taken or feel comfortable taking with the .264? I know mark larue took a nice elk with his...lets see some pics of game and guns!

Yes the camo one does its my sons 6x45 that i been breaking in for him like a good daddy does. I love them , real nice in cold weather.

Ya gut hooked me with the 256 typo, thought you had a new caliber that was a 1/1000th smaller than a .25 in a LBC case.

sorry....fixed it for ya My plan is to use it for deer, but that being said I am taking it on my elk hunt to WY this year, and I also hope to shoot a deer with my .50bmg as well ;D

WSMBuck....how did you torque down the Hogue fore end? Does a regular strap wrench do good enough? doesn't seem like it would to me,

Yes you just use a strap wrench like on any other, its just a rubber cover over Alum. and its just in the middle of the tube.
But its basically a everyday FF tube.

Most of the FF tubes I have installed had a barrel nut you can use a wrench on...the hogue is a different beast.

Most of the FF tubes I have installed had a barrel nut you can use a wrench on...the hogue is a different beast. Strap wrench worked perfect for it. Torqued down and ain't going anywhere. The tube part screws on to the barrel nut as well, and you can "torque" it so it doesn't come undone while holding it "tightly" while hunting or in an adrenaline situation. Those tubes are solid!!
