Hey guys! Im having quite a hard time deciding on which barrel to go with.
I have a RRA m4 7Twist on one of my ARs and it shoots awesome, just under .25" at 100yds. But it doesnt have the speed for any kinda match shooting at 600yds.
So i would love to build something similar to the mk12. Just kinda lost on what length to go with. Thought bout a 24" to get as much speed as possible. Plan on shooting 600yd F-Class so i wont burn my 22-250 or 300WM barrel out. And then throw some irons on it to shoot 200yd serivce matchs with it. Wishful thinking, 75 or 80gr Amax for 600yds and 52gr Amax for 200yd.
So what do you guys suggest? Prolly goin with a fluted one and also threaded so i can still hunt with it suppressed. Weight isnt an issue cause i doubt ill even get close to the F-Class limits and hunting is goin to be done prone with bipod.
Thanks!

A standard profile 1:8 223 will be all you can use if you want to shoot Service with it. It will push to 600 yards. A bull would be better for F-class but the new AR F-class class will be a great place to strut our stuff. I'll be shooting a 6X45 in Open and a 223 in the AR class. Both will be 24" guns. I believe a BHW barrel will hold up to any on the line when I lay down and try my poke way out yonder. Greg
