They do enough of that over there that I would be surprised if someone didn't shoot one. Greg

Thanks Greg Many of these cartridges, standard and ACKLEY IMPROVED, are made to different specs depending on who does the reamer. They may have bit longer/shorter neck or free bore in the throating. Clymer could furnish you a reamer print to see what they use and you could look at others like Dave Kiff, ER Shaw or PacNor's versions and see what the difference is. The chances are you do not have an IMPROVED version as most would stamp IMP after the one on the barrel. You could FIRE FORM a case with Bullseye and corn meal and be perfectly safe in getting a cartridge to evaluate. The best way would be to do a chamber casting withe Cerro Safe and you could get all sorts of specs that way. The POOR MANS way is with liquid paraffin doing it quickly and getting CLOSE to the dimensions on your chamber that will give you a very good picture on what you have. Greg

Hey Acelunger,
That wild cat cartridge is pretty fast! I'm wanting to build an AR in the 22 Reed Express, it's a7.62x25 Tockerov necked down from a 25 to a 22 caliber. From a CZ52 pistol it shoots about 2500 FPS, and from a 10" barrel it travels right at 2875 FPS. I sure would like yo try it in a18" carbine AR platform. It's a lot like the new 22 TCM Bullets that Rock Island has chambered a 45 in, but it doesn't travel as fast.
